Other: Customized for our son by Dave Carter (DC Motorsports) and Kenny Vaughn (K-Fab Designs) to be foot controlled. Throttle is controlled by the left foot. When he’s taller and learns to shift, the raised foot pegs will be removed so that he can control the gas and shift (his foot/boot will fit between the throttle and shifter peg). The bars were custom made to sit 4” closer, 2” lower and 2” narrower for easier steering. The brake is controlled by the right foot (obviously)…and the raised brake peg will be removed once he gets a little taller. The air shox were donated to him from Fox Shox after Dave Carter discussed the ‘build’ with them.
Without these modifications, our son would not be able to ride as he was born without elbows and only 2 fingers on his left hand and one finger on his right hand. Now, not only is he riding, but he has started racing!
(the raised pegs were welded on last minute by Dave when we realized Andrew was still a bit too short to reach the pegs after everything was put together at Dave’s shop in Arkansas around 2 years ago)
