mojave shifting issues

I picked up a used mojave for cheap. I have ran into some issues, most of which I have taken care of. Now that i have it up and going, i cant get past 2nd gear, the it jumps out of gear. I have done some searching and it seems as though it may be the shift paw. I have been unable to find our excatly how it needs to modified, and this seem like a pretty common issue, can someone point me in the right direction?
