    Raptor 125 mod?

Has anyone considered modding up the new 125 from Yamaha? My thoughts are that all the suspension products are already available because the frame is based off the 250. That leaves the TT125 engine. Can it be made to compete against the Honda 125's? Could be a production class contender. Hmmmm. http://www.atvriders.com/atvreviews/...de-review.html

Yes we looked at doing this when the Raptor 250 was introduced. But in my opinion, there are better choices for a chassis to do a youth mod with.

Why? Frame is made of mild steel vs chromoly tubing.
Weak points on chasis. Very weak design. I have heard of many frame failures/bending on the Raptor 250. That's why Lonestar offers a chromoly chassis.

Poor design with spindles= poor geometry

More expensive mod build= Can't negotiate w/ manufacturer to not supply the unneeded parts on machine to lower cost of build.

But with this being said, if you already had one, and if you can do it yourself. It maybe ok. But compare apples to apples I think there are better alternatives.
