Unhappy 05 BF 750. No acceleration/torque. Clutch problem?

I have no acceleration/torque. I was trying to pull a friend out the other day and my 2005 Brute Force 750 was revving up but not going anywhere. Smelled/saw a bit of smoke so i stoped and winched him out.

Does this mean I need a new clutch? Belt is less than 20 miles old.

I did sink the quad about 10 miles ago, could this be the source of the problem?

I'm not for sure but I bet you burned up your belt or did you change your oil after you sunk it? If not that may have screwed it up

Actualy what happend was my one exhaust pipe cracked. The leak was causing one cylinder to have no pressure (or back pressure) and made the quad as powerfull as running on one cylinder.

Got a new (used) pipe off ebay, slaped it on and was back in action.

Now to fix my 4 wheel drive, winch, brake light...
