    Tightening tie-rod ends?

I recently replaced a bent tie rod and it seems there is some play in the ends too. It looks like I should be able to tighten the nut underneath, but the bolt turns with it so how do I hold the bolt to tighten the nut? I don't see a head for the bolt anywhere. Thanks,

In order to tighten your tie rods, you'll need an open end wrench. There is a "bolt" between the splindle and the actual tie rod ball end itself. When you push the wrench in between the spindle and the tie rod, be careful not to tear your boot. Its no big deal. Then just tighten the nut and put a new cotter key in. I was showed by an old pro to check these periodically... it also says so in the manual. This is done by jacking up the front wheels and pushing and pulling the front wheels apart.
