    Question 06 Outlaw blown up need help

    I just bout this 06 500 outlaw irs. it was Blown up when i got it. it has bent intake valves appeared to have a bad head-gasket (coolant in the throat of the carb), piston hit the head but not too bad. Iv never ridding one and know nothing about it. I'm just wondering about what I should know about this thing. i heard that the cams will spin on the sprocket. what should i do as far as fixing it and i may sell it so i dont whant to put a lot of loot in it.

    Sounds like a good time to transplant a new powerplant.
    08 525IRS, FMF 4.1 slip on, JD jetting kit, opened up the air box, 570 big bore kit and NOS.

    generally its either the cam spinning (not as likely) or cam chain/ tensioner issues. Or it could be the person before you didn't know what they were doing when the timed it.
