Problems with my 04 pred. 500

hows it going, i have a 2004 polaris predator 500, been the owner for about 3 years and both the owner before and i have taken great care of this quad. for some reason though i cant seem to keep a good battery for more than 2 weeks, 3 weeks maybe, ive been through at least 3 wal mart brand batteries because they had a month warrantee blah blah its pro rated BS.... and another problem ive been having that may seem to contribute to the battery issue is that every time i ride i have to turn the headlights on or it will not run right, it sputters and wont let me accellerate, almost like its not getting spark, anybody else have any similar issues? thanks

maybee a bare spot on a wire making contact on the frame. that's all i can think of. good luck

If ur going through batteries like that it may be ur voltage regulator.
