Let me start off with the fact this thing was completely beat--the worst i have seen. Not running, spray painted from 20 feet away, cut wires and more.
I shimmed valves and put new piston rings and it would not start with the battery, so i jumped it with my truck.
I could swear I had to hit the green button, but through the process of trying to keep it running I noticed the starter seemed to always want to spin.
If i connect the red wire from the starter to the starter solenoid, it will immediately try to turn over. It seems to be not matter what. I disconnected the plug from solenoid, jumped it and grounded with all the same results. How is the system supposed to work? How can i test the solenoid?
Did some more search and found that the harness should trigger the relay/solenoid with voltage and does not ground it out. I tapped the relay/solenoid and all is fine. I think i will buy a new one any ways though.
