    '99 500 front shocks going???

    I have started to notice my front end bottoming out here and there under normal riding over bumpy ground. Do these have to be replaced once in a while or what should I do??

    Probably, all shocks wear out. If they have never been replaced, its probably time. They may be rebuildable, but Im not sure. I know they arent cheap so a rebuild would be best if possible.

    Measure the exposed shock shaft length. It may be that your springs have settled over the years also.
