few words to explain this: engineers and mass production. When there is both at work, things don't get the attention needed and things are OVER-ENGINEERED. I still wonder why honda/yamaha designed a new(inferior) chassis for their 450's. Why not take what worked awesome and modify it some? I am sure both could've got a walsh or laegers hybrid, take it apart, copy it to some part, change around a few things, but have it still be alot like our hybrids that worked awesome and many, even pro's would take over their factory bikes. I have seen many posts about hybrids and comments on them something like "I wish I never sold that walsh/laeger yz450f/crf450r hybrid, nothing handling even close to it".
