The radiator on this bike is aluminum but somebody in its past decided to spray paint it black. Today I decided to drain and pull the radiator so I can strip the paint off of it and try to polish it up a bit. I used airplane stripper to get paint off

I didn't know the fins were dented and bent so bad until I stripped the black paint off. I'm going to try to straighten them the best I can then start polishing.

i bought used Walsh rad and when it got to me almost all the fins on one side was flat. it took me 3 nights in front of the TV with 2 really small flat head screw drivers to get it all straight. take your time. you can make it looking like new again.

good job on the build BTW. i like to check in here from time to time to check your progess.

    87 lt250r value

Good looking quad! I have a chance to get my hands on one! Just wondering about a value? A guy offered to trade me for my 99 400ex! Not really interested on another quad! But figured I would do a little research! It's suppose to be really fast port and polished a couple more things done! Really just need to know how much I could get out of it? Thanks in advance

After straightening all the fins on my old radiator, I somehow caused a leak. Instead of messing with it anymore, I just got a new one off eBay.

I scored it off Craigslist for $60 bucks. Can't wait to get it installed

I can't believe, with how far I tore this bike apart, that I didn't know until now it had tapered carrier bearings.

They weren't sloppy until now so I didn't mess with them. I had a extra set of single row carrier bearings and seals from my z400 that was going to install. What a surprise when I slid that axle out and popped the seals.

I'm glad though because I think they have alot more load rating
