Head Gasket Question

I am going to run a cool head on my cylinder and would like to run a paper gasket instead of the steel one. I heard that a CR250 gasket will work and give me better compression but when i ordered them they came back as steal ones looking just like stock. Does anyone know what year CR250 gasket will work that is not steal? Or anything else in general that might help me out with this. Thanks.

Most of the CR ones you're going to find are going to be steel and thinner. The paper ones are too think for what you are trying to do.
