    honda 300 4x4 head

    has anyone put a 300ex 4 valve head and cylinder on a 300 4x4.mines starting to get a little tired id like to bump up the compression a little and i have a extra ex head and cam.if it would work i think it would run good.

    I'm in the same boat, I've got spare 300ex parts and thought about doing the same thing. It appears that it would work just fine, the only thing I didn't look at was where the intake and exhaust connect on the 300ex but I believe its the same.

    I'd be curious to see if it worked with positive results!

    i dont think a 300ex have 4 valves does it? i have heard of people doing this mod though

    well i found out for sure. the trx engine rotates the oppisite of the 300ex so you would need a 300ex piston and head but you will need to get a 300ex cam built to run in reverse im told web camshaft will do it.hope this helps
