Big Bear 400 Charging System

Battery drains down over a couple of weeks sitting idle. I found no discharge. Also checked output of charging system and it is 12.8 volts at idle and riving it up...makes no difference. shouldn't the out put go to 13.8 or 14? What and how should I check?

I have the same problem with my 2001 big bear. I am going to do a little more exploring when I get time to see if I can figure it out. Nothing more irritating than when you go out to use it and have to pull start the darn thing.

Please let me know if you figure anything out before I get back to you. I am hoping it isn't the stator, but might not get so lucky.

I took a chance and bought a voltage regulator on e-bay for $20.00. It works fine now.
