well i own a 2000 s10 zr2 previously owned a 1996 sonoma not a blazer but pretty much the same thing. First thing i would look for is shot wheel bearings and ball joints bring a jack with you to check because on these trucks they are known to wear and its a way to get them to drop the price of the vehicle. Fuel pumps are also another thing known to go out in these vehicles just to let you know. other then that there pretty dependable vehicles the 4.3 is a good motor and there known to go over 200,000. oh and if you get a zr2 the oil cooler lines are probably leaking common problem the zr2 are the only ones with a oil cooler so you dont have to worry about it on the normal ones.

yea yours is he old school blazer, what the tahoe became in 2005, the blazer from 95 to 2004 i think is based on the s 10 chassis, and the 04+ was renamed the trailblazer

This is my 98 4x4 2dr blazer. Droped 2in, hids, it has billet inserts now, intake, corvette servo in the trany, and it will have a exhaust soon. Its my daily driver with 172,xxx on it runs fine I did have to put a trany in it but it was not taken care of I bought it off a drunk. It gets 16-18 around town and 20mpg on the highway.
