    98 warrior glowing red

I have a 98 warrior that was popping when I tried to give it any throttle. Ran fine at idle. Took it to a shop and they cleaned the carb and adjusted the valves. I've road it for probably 4 hours over the past week and now the exhaust is glowing red coming out of the head. I think it's dumping raw fuel into the exhaust but don't know what to do to fix it. Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks,
    Robbie

The popping tells me it is running lean.

sounds like your timing is off dude, give that a check and reset your valves again. If its getting that hot you are gonna ruin the head or the piston or both real quick so get it taken care of for sure. And i agree it sounds like its running lean but that wont make it glow red, shouldnt be that hot ever. If the timing is off its getting fuel at the wrong time so yeah it would be leaned out, but i sounds like a timing issue to me.
