    Camera Mount on ATV

    To all;

    I am planning a ride today on Buffalo Mtn and I was wanting to capture some digital footage with my Kodak Z1285. I've came up with a good mounting system to secure the camera.

    I was just wondering if any of you have done this before. I don't want to damage my $300 digi, well, my girlfriends digi. I'm concerned about the shock of jumping, landing and all the rocks.

    Any help/advice appreciated.

    I just bought a GoPro camera yesterday (www.goprocamera.com).

    It works well mounted via the suction cup on my truck, also came with mounts for on helmets and such.

    It does video, but can also be programmed to take pics every 5 or 10 seconds.

    Pretty impressed with it so far.
    God must love stupid people; He made so many.

    I got a digi camera so I was just looking for a mount. I made an inexpensive camera mount/pod for less than $5 which worked great using a piece of scrap wood (free) a CD jewel case to protect lens (free) a couple tupperware type containers ($1 from dollar tree) & a few bolts ($3). Only problem was I bought Alkaline batteries from Dollar Tree too and the Kodak cam I have has a prob with Alks and shut down every 10 secs.

    I wrecked on that ride so I'm out for a few weeks. Once I get back on, I'll post some vids.
