    2009 GNCC Series-Round#8 - The john Penton-Race Coverage

    The weather gods have finally smiled on this round, which is usually known for either a rain and mud filled event or choking dust that seperates the men from the boys....figurativley speaking

    The rain has cleared and by mid afternoon the sun had made an appearance and the forecast has set up what should be prime racing conditions! The Youth race and Morning race will have a bit of mud to deal with, but the Afternoon race should be wide open and might even kick up some dust by the time they are done!

    The race to watch in the morning race will be the hotly contested Womens class. Atwell needs to get back on top and i'm sure she would love to get her KTM in the #1 spot!

    College A racer, Jamie Bithell was getting ready to pull his exhaust to re-pack it before tomorrows event. Bithell has one class win on the season and will have to set his sights on Walker Fowler who has been ripping apart the class this season!

    The Penton is one of those places you either love or hate, offering quite a mix of terrain and portions of the MX track. The weather is usually the main reason for folks making funny faces when the Penton is mentioned, but I have a feeling this year will have alot more people smiling!

    Pro row was quiet and everyone was settled in for the night or off to thier hotel rooms.

    That's about all I have from this evening. We had some business to attend to so we didn't get to the track until late, and are now ourselves tucked into out $107 Budget Inn.....maybe someone can define Budget to these people

    We will be back out early to catch all the action for everyone so check back soon for updates.

    I will leave you with Dave's new vintage pit bike I heard he actually beat up an old lady and stole it
