    need ktm tech please help

    2009 ktm 450sx lost spark?? dont have any ktm specs just trying different things. If somebody has any type of information with actual specs please pm me. I will send you my number and tell you what we have tryed. We think its the cdi box?? Bike is new?

    try backing out your idle adjustment. many problems with the tps on these things.....

    Thanks for the info. Have spark. will not try to start at all does not fire at all??? playing with the idle screw it will loose spark. I keep the adjustment to where I have good spark. Bike will not try to even start. Any other ideas. I going to ck compression any body know what the specs is?? Thanks mike

    I had the same problem with mine I only got to ride it 5 minutes and the cdi box went out of it. Id take it back to them and tell them to put a diffrent cdi in in it and see if that works. It sounds like you have the problem I had.

    Just an update found reason does not start no compression.Cked compression do not even have 20psi. Thanks to those replys

    if your quad has not run in a while, the constant tries at starting your quad will eliminate compression......no oil. oil helps eliminate the gap between the rings and cylinder wall. that could be and probably is why you are getting low compression numbers.

    what did your quad do when it stopped running? if you parked it one day and the next it didnt start, chances are it is not a piston. If you were riding and it started losing power AND THEN didnt start id say it was a piston.
