    Totally a guess on the first, but possibly a fuel pump for an alcohol engine? It's prob something real good because Dr. Q. has a well built rep. of being pretty much the best in LT engine building there is...

    As for the 2nd, those are welds to reinforce the cylinder ears of a LT500r engine. Those engines were prone to cracking there, so many people have them welded to reinforce them as a preventative measure.....

    If you look in that picture of the weld you can see it has already cracked.

    so i have a polaris 400L cylinder that has the front lobs cracked... would it work if i had them welded up?

    the 1st and 2nd pic is skully's (of Skullymotorsports.com) 250/500 hybrid. has the Dr Q 540HRD motor with electric fuel pump. The 3rd pic is of Skully's 650 Roidzilla motor showing a crack at the reinforced ear.
