i just bought a sunstar 36t from a local atv salvage....brand new
1999 Durango - In-Dash DVD, so far. More to come soon.
FYI... I have been using both Sunstar and Renthal rear sprockets on my 300... They have all been the aluminum ones, a little more costly but I have been having great success with them... Just a recommendation.
Anyway... You should be able to get a 36 tooth rear sprocket for your 300 from just about any company out there, like the sites sponsor "The Quad Shop". Otherwise, you check with C&D Racing. (308-696-7805)
Good luck... Sounds like you are looking for more top end, huh?
Note: I could be wrong, but you may need to remove a link from your chain when you go to a smaller sprocket.
I updated my comment... I do not know for a fact that there is a 36 tooth rear sprocket out there for a 300ex.

Special Thanks to C&D Racing
Any place that sells quad parts should be able to be able to get you a rear sproktet, i.e. nacs, Rocky mountain, GWC, TQS, ect ect.
I would recommend changing both your sprokets and chain at the same time though.

i am running sprockets and a chain fron sidewinder. I have had no problems with them thus far, and they guarantee their sprockets and chain combos are indestrucatble. I got my back sprocket anodized in red, so it looks really trick. i have a 14 up front, and a 32 out back. They can custom make them to your exact specifications. The only downside is they are a little costly, i spent $214 including tax and shipping, but i was told that this would be the last chain and sprockets i would ever put on my quad. Just my own comments.
p.s. i love the top end:devil
Im running sidewinder also, very nice stuff!

Do i have to do anything with my chain if i put a rear 36 tooth sprocket on with 14 tooth front? Will i beable to get the chain tight?
Thanks

nope, maybe loosen the chain adjustment or loose a couple of links on it, it is however to change the sprockets and chain when you do this just so everything is new but thats costly
If you put on a brad new rear sproket, it will wear out much quicker if it is used with an old chain and front sproket.
its not a must, just a good idea to change to whole set-up at once
