    Looking To Buy Digital Slr

    Looking to buy a digital slr for wife at the XC track,I have 2 nikon 35 slr's a tamron 28-200mm lenses for a nikon is any of this usable? Need advice on best inexpensive digital body and a good resonably priced lense for this type of photography I don't have any idea on the lense and am willing to go canon if they offer a better option on lenses Want to stay under $1500 FOR LENSE I know in general body prices are $300 to $800 in my range!ANY suggestions would help Just don't want to spend a bunch on an outfit and then figure out she needs something completely different!
