Nurf bar mounting help?

I am installing my AC pro peg nurf bars and something dosent seam right,on the left side one thare is a gap between the base of the black thing and the end of the foot peg and it can move a little bit. Is this normal?

i guess its normal, mine are like that, you can hit the outside edge hard enough with your hand to move it in hard enough and it will stay for a while, but it doesnt hurt anything. you could have someone weld it up for you, but i dont think its needed
