I hustled across the pit area and was able to cut off the leaders as they headed in for the first lap.

Bill Ballance was in the lead and looked smooth as glass!

Ballance blew by me so fast I rocked back just enough to include one of the trees in the shot Kiser was running 2nd and looked hungry!

Fractions of a second seperated the top riders as Borich and McGill run nose to tail

McClure and Cook followed next as the riders came in paired up and soon out of sight!
