The season is still young but the battles yet to come will be fierce! We have seen some great racing from the ladies and the U2 class looks to be stellar as well. Rick Cecco was able to get the lead from Smith and claimed the U2 class win setting Cecco at the top of the points lead. It will be interesting to watch this class and see if Smith can bounce back and get in the groove to claim a few wins of his own!

The sunshine had finally decided to show itself as the last few shots of champagne were sent skyward. The course had already shown how rough it was, and how fast it was for those out front. The stage was now set for the afternoon race!

For the XC1 Pro riders, keeping in good standings with the fans is a priority. The companies backing these riders want a personable attitude and a willingness to promote the sport and the sponsors in a good way. For Adam McGill, working with the fans is all in a days work and he is fast becoming a fan favorite with a growing base of supporters!

It seems that time hits full tilt as the days activities unfold, and with just enough time to scarf down some french fries, rehydrate and get batteries changed, the afternoon race was all but started as I made my way to the starting line.
