the auto clutch has always been an option on the 70 cobra, for 2009 they are building an 80 also. it seems to run pretty well.

Is it easy to modify the 70 to an 80 or 90?

We have a class that will alow the Cobra 70 and it can be modified, as long as you don't exceede 90cc.

because the way the rules are written you can't run a stock Cobra 80.

Just upgrade your ECX70 with Cobra's 80cc kit and you will be legal. Having the hand clutch is an advantage so not sure why the 80AC wouldn't be legal. The 80AC was actually produced to run in the ATVA 90 Auto class. If you need more clarification just ask... we are always glad to help!!
