    Modified Wiring Harness

Anyone know of a modified wiring harness without all the extra nonusable wires for an mx bike. I have an 05 450r and would like to keep the fan running. I have seen CRF ignitions with clean harness, but then they had a battery to run there fan. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I just removed all the wires from a 05 450r for a guy last week. You need to find a manual and follow the diagram and remove all that isn't needed.

Did you shorten it up to keep all wires up front or did you run them to the back? I did my 400ex in 02 with the battery up front under the hood, took a few days but I got it. I am unsure on what if any would run the fan if you take to much out. Is it possible for the 450 to run without the rectifirer???

I just opened the wireing and removed all the light wires, brake light switch, bar control wires and key ignition. I think you need to keep the rectifirer. I may have some notes I used, I will have to look when I go to the shop.

I took mine to toby at moto-xperts.....he did mine up all nice and clean, wired the fan to run constantly. I'm very happy with his work. I don't know about you guys, but i have nightmares about electrical problems so I leave it up to the professionals and now I know I won't have any problems

    harness

I just built some of the 04/05 harnesses for cutomers. eliminated everything not needed and put kill switch plug in and located the rectifier up front. on the 06/08 I eliminate all the electric start stuff and put in the condenser. Thanks, Rich 17 racing. email me at dajrrich@gmail.com

Baldwin did my 450R harness when I had it for $45. He wired in my tether and we relocated the rectifier to the front shock tower. Super clean setup.

    fan

Yes you'll be able to run your fan all the time, you can do a search on here and it'll find the thread that tells exactly how and which wires
