airmobile and cataway, what is that jet then? i was looking at my manual and thats what i thought that it was. i guess i looked at the wrong thing. haha. also, since i'm just doing an airfilter, jet kit, full exhaust, should i go up to a 25 with just that? any idea where i should start with the main jet. i was looking at dyno jet's website and i think the stage 2 is a 150. would that be right?
of course it depends on well it runs ,first you should see if you can make it run better by adjusting the fuel screw ,if you find you need to turn the screw out more than 3 1/2 turns then yes go to the #25
with no more than what mods your talking a #145 mj should be right , i'm not a fan of DJ jets.

cataway, why are you not fond of dyno jet kits? i was looking at them because they come with a new needle, clip, spacer, all that stuff. and a bunch of different size jets. what other kits would you suggest? thanks

Im not big on dynojet either. It can be quite confusing when talking about jetting and one person is thinking jetting by Mikuni standards and the other is thinking Dynojet.

Now, the 60 jet is for your choke circuit(so I think). You only have one other jet in there besides the 130 and 60, and that would be your pilot(22.5). Now, you can adjust the pilot circuit, but your gonna have to remove the brass plug thats blocking it. That plug is on the outside of the fuel bowl. Youll notice a brass plug if you flip the carb over. I drilled the plug out. Actually the drill pulled the plug out,so you don't want to be pressing super hard or anything when drilling.

Also, Alba has a jet kit for yea. Little pricey for what you get,but this will for sure put yea in the right direction.

airmobile101, if its just those 2 jets and needle, couldn't i just go to the dealer close to me and pick up a 150 main and 25 pilot? whats the difference between the needle that comes with that kit and the stock one i have now? i'm thinking i could get the main jet for like $5.

cataway said that a 145 jet should be fine for me. is there a big difference in the 2 sizes?

what your saying about dynojet, do they not have the same numbers like 140, 150, etc? also on my carb, the jets that are in it have a square within a square if that makes any sense.

For sure !!! Just head on down to the dealer and get them. Just make sure they are true Mikuni jets. I had bought jets before from a dealer and they were knock offs. I do have a Dynojet kit Ill sell yea if interested. Its not complete, but its got everything you would need. I do think the dynojet needle's taper is a little thinner, but Im not 100% sure.

Oh, the square within the square is Mikuni's trademark. Just make sure any other jet you get has the square within the square.

thanks for the info so far. should i get a different needle, or will the stocker one be fine? how far would you guess that i should turn the air screw out? right now being stock, its 2.5 out.

airmobile101, how much would you want for that kit? and what all is still in that you didn't use? thanks. my zip is 17009 if that helps.

The stock needle is none adjustable,so you would definately need a new needle. Ill check when I get home in the morning to see whats missing in the Dynokit. Im pretty sure the needle and clip is still there. Im thinking $25.00 shipped?
