    Scrambler Hates Water/Dust

I have a 2000 Scrambler 500 2wd. This bike might be one of the worst I've ridden unless the conditions are perfect. Any amount of dust and it bogs down severely. It drives itself away from puddles because it won't make it through. Can someone please help me here. I rode a 400ex and it rode through all these conditions without any hesitation. I would love to be able to go through some deeper water/mud without trouble.

    come check out www.gen3usa.com

that site is all about scramblers, trailblazers and 400 sports

I would say you got a dirty air filter, check your clutch snorkels, and then spray some di-electric grease on all your electrical connections

I have had mine in water up to the handlebars with no issues

also it helps if you dont hit the water fast to keep the belt from getting wet. the new scramblers have a drain in the clutch cover, but i dont believe your year has one, you might want to remove it and check things out
