    rear hubs

I just picked up an 88 lt250r. It has the 5 lug rear hubs. I am having a lot of trouble getting new rims for that lug pattern. Some people have told me that most have discontinued wheels in that style. I know I can't put the 4 lug hubs from other lt's on because they have a different spline count. Any ideas on what I should I do would be great....

I feel your pain. I only found Douglas rims to fit my 92 LT. But... You can use hubs from an LTZ400 QuadSport on your LT250R, or so I have been told. I have not tried this yet.

Yep swap the rear hubs. I am currently using hubs from a LT-R450 on the rear of mine, they're great, make it just a little wider. The bolt pattern is the ever-popular 4/110, easy to find wheels for.

Sweet... I wanted the rear a little wider anyway. Hubs from an lt450 are the same 26 spline as the later 250r's I'm assuming and will swap right on?

I know that blaster and banshee hubs work on the 85-86 250's so they might work on the 87 and up models as well.

No, they won't work on 87-up LTs. Can't remember the spline count, but 85-86 had fewer splines.

I think the 85-86 were 24 spline and 87 and up were 26 spline

Yes, they will go right on. You will need an extra washer to get the axle nut to tighten up, but that's no big deal.
This really is just about the best mod you can do to your old LT250R.

I stand corrected. Glad to know they do NOT work.
