does the xr400 head gasket increase power any ?
or will the extra slack in the cam chain be a real problem?
i am going to put a xr400 cam & a adjustable cam sprocket also so i can change cam timing.

the xr400 gasket is thinner and will increase your compression, thus giving you more power, thus giving you more cam chain slack.

2 wheels or 4 wheels?
Will the chain adjustment slide take up the slack? and how much compression will it gain?

Quads I use to own:
FDO 463ex, Gas Gas 300, Gas Gas 450, Rancher, Yamaha Warrior, ATC Big Red.
If you can't afford to fix it or replace it, don't ask to ride it!
I had the shop put an xr400 cam and gasket in mine. I can't tell you what a difference it made b/c I had all the work done at once. It's quicker than stock for sure!! It has been in for 2 months of hard, everyday riding and no problems.
