    gncc racing

OK my youngest boy is 6 and we are tossing around the idea of him racing. So does he need a 50 or 70 ATV? Also will he have to run with other kids up to age 15? Will they look out for the little guys? Just thought some of you racing parents might be able to help me out. Also there will be some mx races near us that we might hit too.
    Thanks Brian

If your planning on gncc races I would check their rules and what classes they offer also do the same with your local mx tracks. I'd also check their race results to see what classes have riders in them , no point in your boy racing himself.

Tracks i've been to run the litte guys/ gals seperate. Some will run each class seperate. One track we race at runs the JR. and SR. minis at the same time because it's a time saver and low rider turn out

As far as a quad , has he ridin' before?
If he just starting out, might want a 50 to start and most of them you can put a 70 topend kit on later when they need more speed, saving the need to buy another quad.

    Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I will check closer on the rules. It looks like 6-10 is a 70cc for GNCC. Also he has been riden about 2 years. He has a brand new Z50 that has the spacer removed and a alpha sport cobra 50cc. The cobra has been riden very hard before we got it. He will not ride the Z50 because the cobra is way faster.

At the age of 6 in the GNCC he would have to run a 70cc. And yes all of the kids ages 6-15 are out on the track at the same time.

Usually averages a 5 mile track and the leaders will get 5 laps or so. If the little one is not experienced in Cross Country then i would wait a few years and hit locals. The older and experienced kids can get a little rough at times......Good kids, but remember they are racing in the trees!!!
