probably need a revalve and respring. i've heard complaints from other KTM owners about stiff springs.

you may not have any problems with the front shocks, just play with the preload on them. the rear shocks have a problem in some cases as all the ajustability goes away... i would suggest as it was already stated to get the rear revalved for you but the fronts are optional...at 205 the stiffness shouldnt be problem..ive ran my brothers 525 and im 215 and it doesnt seem harsh at all

Most quads shocks are set up for a 165lb rider.

I plan on getting some proffesional work done on them some time when i get the $$$$. but right now i cant afford it, im just looking for the best thing to do on them the way they are (Stock), to soften them up. Back off preload? turn down compression? Any advice?

with as good as the stock shocks are, i bet you could just respring them for your weight and not have to spend all the money on revalves. of course the revalves are probably better, but cost vs. performance, i bet respringing is the way to go

At your weight you would probably be happy with a respring. We have alot of other stuff that we can do to the shocks to make them a lot better. give us a call.
