    boggin down!!

I recently changed my main jet on my 300ex from 122 (stock) to 128 dynojet size. after riding it for about 2 hours it keeps bogging down about half throttel. if i take my air-box lid off it makes it better but still boggs down at about 3/4 throttel. what can i do to fix this? i have a fmf pipe k&N filter with outerwears cover

    thanks.

My friend had this same problem on his 300ex. I changed the sparkplug and it seemed to fix the problem but I only rode it around the neighborhood. Were going riding this sunday so when I get back Ill tell you if it fixed the problem.

If the problem proceeds though i will have to change the jetting because thats the only other thing that i think it could be.

    Is it bogging or sputtering?

1st I must ask the obvious.. did you leave the choke on? It happens since you usually dont use the choke on the 300, so if it were on when tou reinstalled you may have left it on.

Bogging would be lean.. aka you may have an air leak at the intake manifold.

Being luggy and sputtering would mean you are rich.

With a Q-Series you may very well need to run a 120-122 if you want ot keep the airbox lid on. 122-125 with the lid off.
