    rear brake questions

just put some new pads on the rear of my '00 warrior. they are rubbing pretty bad, where I could smell them after I rode it down the road and the rotor was very hot. I believe it may have something to do with the parking brake but I'm not sure. how do I adjust it? I am removing the parking brake also. already have the cable out, the wiring unplug and just got the cover today. anything else I need to remove? I'm more worried about the pads rubbing. how do I adjust? thanks for any help

If you put the parking brake block off plate on the parking brake wont be the problem. I think what your problem is, is something that happend to be awhile ago. The parts in the caliper that allow the caliper to "float" have seized up and wont let the caliper move like it supposed to. particularly the pin witht he allen head. you can try to free it up but mine didnt work out to well. but its worth a try to free it up yourself. if it doesnt work buy a new caliper.
correct me if I'm wrong becuase I hate to give out bad info.
