    Change Tires of my CanAm650

    Hello,
I want to change the tires of my Can Am XT Max 650 year 2007.
I don want to change the wheels, only the tires.

I am thinking on the ITP 26x9x12 for the front and 26x12x12 for the rear.

Do I have to change the wheels? Or this tires works with the original wheels.

    Thanks a lot!!!!

those tires will work with your wheels as long as they are the same wheel size. the last number in that sequence is the wheel size. if they match your good to go.

The originall tires on my Outlander 650 XT Max are Front 26x8x12 and Rear 26x10x12. Some friend told me that because the tires are wider (26x9x12 and 26x11x12), I will have to change the wheels otherwise the new tires will smashagainst the suspension. Is that true?

if they are going to hit the suspension they might do that with or without wheels. the benefit to buying aftermarket wheels is you get a wider offset to get them away from the suspension.

why are you getting bigger tires? why not get the same size as what was on there? there is not much benifit from jumping one inch. it will only give you .5 inch more ground clearence. i would still with stock size tires or jump to like 28-29 inch range. if you do that i would def suggest wider wheels.

I do not really want bigger tires, the original are 26 and the ITP I am planning to buy are also 26. The difference is that the stock Carlise Tires are 26x8x12 and 26x10x12. And The ITP are 26x9x12 and 26x11x12 beacause the do not fabricate the same size that my Can Am has (I dont know why).

I dont really want to spend money in an Offset wheels, because the wheels already have my Quad are nice.

I want to keep my stock wheels and change tires for the ITP, but I am concern about if the rubbing.

    Thaks a lot.

Those should work without rubbing! Carlisle tires are a little wider from the get go, so your new tires should'nt be much wider than the ones you have now.
