    Typhoon vs. Apex vs. DRR

Took my son to the MX track this weekend with a couple of buddies of mine and their 2 boys. Their ages are 9 and 8. My boy is 6. I must say that after seeing the Typhoon on the track with the Apex and DRR (which are two awsome performing quads for kids) I was very impressed with the performance of the Typhoon. The suspension was the biggest difference between these quads as the Apex and DRR seems to have a better setup stock. I have a 3min video and you can see that my son is a bit smaller and made a few more mistakes than the other two but the bikes performance was on spot as you can see toward the end of the video where he really gets on the gas to keep from losing ground after a mistake. If anyone has doubts about the Typhoon, HERE IS PROOF of what this quad can do...

Look at the ruts these boys made in these next two pics! The track owner sure had to do some grooming on this to get it right for Sunday (lol)

Great video!! Thanks for posting. It was my first experience watching all three machines in action. Looks like the boys were having a blast!! That's what it's all about, my friend. Enjoy!!
“The character that takes command in moments of crucial choices has already been determined by a thousand other choices made earlier in seemingly unimportant moments. It has been determined by all the ‘little’ choices of years past when life seemed easy and crises seemed far away—the decisions that, piece by piece, developed habits of discipline or of laziness; habits of self-sacrifice or self-indulgence; habits of duty, honor and integrity—or dishonor and shame.” - Ronald Reagan

You guys are EXACTLY right! That's what we were expressing to the boys. We were constantly telling them that there was no one bike better than the other and although it fun to win, it's not all about winning. It's all about having fun . The kids dad on the red bike has a saying, "It's not about the wins, it's about the friends."

It was my first time seeing all the bikes together perform also. The DRR is probably the most underpowered as he's running the small stock carb. The Apex and my sons bike are running bigger carbs.

The 26mm is the only thing done to it. Well that and the Uni filter. Before I did that mod Jams bike was lagging on power like the DRR (Black/green bike) was. Jams bike couldn't run with the Apex (Red bike) before I changed those. Now they're equal on power.

The only time he shifts is either when he stops and cuts the bike off or after he cranks it and is pulling off. He shifts up to fourth and it stays there until he gets ready to cut the bike off again. As you can see, it has more than enough power coming out of those corners.
