me and my cousin went out tonight both shot our deer 5mins apart and like 50ft from eachother. both 8 point bucks mine weighed 128lbs his weighed 195lbs to beautiful deer. im pumped my 4th deer me being only 17 thats damm good i think. first 3 were does and NOW THE BUCK!!!!

both very nice deer...i got a spike my first year, then does the next 6. college kept me out of the woods when i was 19, and that dang buck eluded me until i was 20. i took an 8 point that had a smaller rack than yours, but about the same size body as your cousins.

Buck day down here starts the 26th so I'll be leaving school a little early.
Nice buck man! Last year was the first year I didn't get a buck. I almost didn't get anything. It sucked, I was halfway down my tree stand and a huge doe walked up, so I had to slowly climb back up and load up.

Thursday was opening day of gun season here, I passed up a 4pt on Thursday, hoping not to scare any other deer off.
Then Friday night I passed up on two does
Then this morning I passed on a devil deer (spike but it had tall horns) and two does(the same two does from Friday.)
Although I also saw two coyotes today !
Was gonna shoot one, my dad said if you have the shot take it, I was waiting for it to finish walking past a tree so I would have a clear heart shot, then my dads like don't take the shot. He changed his mind, didn't want to spook the deer, plus a 12 ga. slug would punch a nice hole in that little guy. But were taking the mini-14 out tonight for any coyotes.
After that devil deer walked off about 10-15 mins later I heard two shots kind of close to us, I hope nobody shot him.
Going back out tonight, hope I see a bigger buck !
