You do NOT have to remove the starter!!!!!!!! Just the starter gear which pulls right off by hand.

MY PROBLEM IS WHEN I REMOVED THE CASE I REMOVED THE TWO SCREWS THAT HOLD THE STARTER TOGETHER. I GUESS I JUST PULL THE TOP OF THE STARTER FROM THE CASE AND PUT THE STARTER BACK TOGETHER AND GO FROM THERE. I KNOW I CAN DO THIS I HAVE REBUILT MOTORS FROM TOYOTAS TO DODGES. THIS MOTOR JUST SPOOKS ME. COULD YOU GO THROUGH THE STEPS OF REMOVING THE CASE.
