    Manual Clutch for Typhoon 125

Has anyone put a manual clutch on the Xtreme Typhoon 125?
If so, what is needed to do this?

dont waste your time or money to convert! Just get another engine! You can get one for $400 google pitbike performance. If you get one make sure its a 4up tranny 1d3up to many false neutrals.

I have ran three different 125cc pit bikes side by side, and the Xtreme kicked the crap out of the other two. I'm just guessing, but I would believe the ebay motors are not going to keep up with the Xtreme.

Sorry Jboyz, I haven't put a manual on an Xtreme (so I can't help you there). I just wanted to let people know there is a difference in power on the 125 engines.

I don't want to go with a different motor - would just like to find a way to put a manual clutch on the stock FYM motor. This engine runs too good to replace...

So far we have put the high compressions piston kit & race cam in & the performance CDI - this has made a huge difference....!

I'm not talking about the $400 pit bikes!

I was just trying to say FYM motors make more power than most 125 engines. The bikes that we lined up against the Xtreme were not "cheap" bikes. I didn't realize you can get a FYM motor on ebay for $400.

For the 125 you would need a CR3 pro stock crank, transmission main shaft, clutch basket, clutch side engine cover, clutch cable, and some other misc. small parts from what I understand. That would be the same relative setup as the FTX or super typhoon engine, just without the 146cc displacement. It would probably cost about $500 give or take for the parts and would obviously require a pretty complete teardown.
