    Winter Project

    Ok here it is my sister has a 1987 warrior (first year of producton)

    the rings are bad it smokes like hell

    and the clutches are smoked out

    exhaust is got rust holes and is just terrible (stock exhaust)

    plastic has been fiberglassed like 4 times before we bought it
    and burn hole in plastic from holes in exhaust

    here is what im asking should we try to bore it like .20 over and rebuild it or just go get a different ride for her

    part it out, sell everything, and get her an older 400ex. Thats prob. your best bet

    Yeah 0.020 Weisco piston kit is like $110, $50 to bore the cylinder, $50 for the valve job. Stock clutch is $100 from South Seattle Sports Plaza, and look for a good set of plastics on ebay.
    I wouldn't part it as you'll only get about $300 for the motor because it needs work, you won't get anything for the plastics, 87s came with that wacky rear suspention setup, it'll be a lot less work to just fix it.
