    Backfire???

My warrior is backfiring at idle. When I go to give it gas it backfires more and won't go more than 5 mph. I thought the problem might be in the carb so I took it off and cleaned it out ( was pretty clean) changed to smaller jet at the same time since plug was black. Where do I go from here???

It ended up being my parking brake. The switch was over but the brake was not set causing the engine to think that it was set.
