need help

my buddy just bought his son a used blaster. The quad was just rebuilt by the previous owner The poblem is the quad wont hit power band and smokes bad real bad we changed the reeds and the carbureator and still got this problem i was told it could be the electrical box that is hooked to the carbureator any help

is the coil mount cracked? is it jetted way to rich?

we didnt check any of that but i will. as im driving the quad it acts like it wants to clear up and hit power band but dont. also the carb that we swapped is bone stock and it seemed to pull harder with it then the carb that came on my blaster.

try cleaning the carb if you didn't.
