Thinking of getting one

Thinking of getting one for my 8 year old.
Couple of questions:
We ride mostly mx.
Are there any motifications which I will need to do to ride on the track?
Is this the same bike they sell at Pepboys - the baja storm 125?

depening on how fast your child is I would get some shocks and either ac nerf bars or just some metal foot pegs.
from what I heard about the pep boys one its a peice of crap...so you might want to get a real typhoon for racing.

The Pepboys and Costco bikes look the same but their not. The motor internals are different as well as some other mods. One is the oil cooler. You could buy the cheaper brand and upgrade it but you'll probably be better off just getting the Xtreme. My son has had his for a couple of months now and the only problem was the heelguards.
