    Neutral safety switch

I've had a Typhoon 90 since July, daughter has only raced it one time. Last weekend the green neutral light wouldn't come on when in neutral. I traced the problem down to a neutral safety switch down by the front sprocket, the wires were frayed and rubbed in two, probably by the chain, yes it's that close.

Anyway, this setup looks like a problem. What is the long-term fix for this problem? I cut the wire upstream of the switch and wired it to ground, it starts, but the neutral light stays on all the time.

Or should i just replace the switch? Where can I buy one?

    Thanks,
    Chris

You said "This setup" looks like a problem? In all the research that I did before I got my sons bike and here more than a year later I've never heard this happening. If the chain cover is on the bike that shouldn't happen. As far as what to do to fix it, I'd call Xtreme and get myself a new wire.
    If it'll run... I'm ridin'!!!
