Looking to get into GNCC racing

Looking for any advise on getting into GNCC racing. I am going to be upgrading from my current quad a 1987 250x to either a 400ex, 450r, or outlaw 525 IRS. Not sure of the best route yet (kinda depends on the wallet at the time). I would greatly appreciate any and all advise on getting into GNCC racing.

The outlaw has the best ground clearance and reverse but the added weight makes the 450 a better choice. I rode a raptor 700 last year at a few races and that extra weight held me back big time. I now own an 07 yfz 450 and am much faster. And no matter what get aftermarket skid plates!06 Raptor 700 hmf exhaust dynatek power commander dg bumper and nerfs

if you have deep enough pockets to keep it together its a beast, but they have a slow crank time so thats gonna kill you on the start. I have 2 racing buddies that OWNED them and they spent a fortune keeping them running. I still to this day dont think there is a 450 stock that can out run one though. but top speed isnt everything in the gncc. they handle great, aluminum frame that makes it light but damn they are high maintence.
