250ex shocks vs 300ex shocks

hey im wondering what is longer eye to eye 250ex or 300ex also bottom of coil to top of coil, also are the coils on the 250ex beefier and stiffer?

300EX shocks are about a half inch longer but you have a little bit of adjustment on them since the 250EX has none. I have 300EX on my wifes 250EX and they are softer at the softest setting than the stock 250EX......but they are not a direct bolt up. you have to machine the bottom mounts to fit in the a-arms and the top need to be shimmed with washers or something.
