Honda 500 4x4 Question

So I just found out the hard way that if you leave the key on, the hour meter runs. So, my brand new quad with 12 hours now has 83 hours thanks to my daughter!! My dealer says nothing can be done. You guy's know any tricks??

lol, if theres some way to unplug the hour meter for umm it would be 83-12 for 71 hours, and then hook it back up, your hours would be accurate, good luck keeping up with the hours tho. Dont know really man thats just all i could think of.
