    Missing switch

Hi ya'll. My Husband just bought a 1998 TRX300FW. I was riding it and noticed that the font wheels don't pull. My 450 Foreman is full time 4x4 and I assumed this one was to. There is a sticker on the tank that says "When in 4 wheel drive the brakes Yada yada yada" Mine does not have the sticker. This leads me to believe that there may be a 4x4 switch somewhere like my Polaris has. Al's Cycle shop says there is not one. There is a switch that is broken off on the handlebars. Could this be it? There looks to be the same type of wire coming off the front of the transfer case.

I bet what I think is a wire off the transfercase is the vent tube.
