Sunday morning at High Point felt more like the beach to me, but chatting with Florida native Jeremy Lawson he said he was feeling right at home in the balmy 90 degree weather.

Pro practice took to the track

Team mechanics watch for any signs of trouble or for anything that they can change to offer an advantage. Paul Turner has his watchful eye on Pat Brown as he leaves the gate

Pat Brown is smooth, so smooth that you expect him to just glide his way around the track every lap. He looked surprised when he hooked a rut in this corner as the one line track was showing its short comings. It amazes me how week to week the ground can change.

Joe Byrd getting things worked out during practice. I watched him closely all weekend, and took notice of how he approaches the track. He is very methodical about looking everything over, much more so then the others from what I saw.

Shane Hitt is a living legend in his own right, and it is always a pleasure watching him ride. Seeing his son on the same track was a sign that his legacy will live on long past the time when his helmet is hung up for the last time.
